AI POLICY
Last Updated: 25/06/2025
1. Introduction
This policy aims to tackle concerns about the use of AI in my photography practices in an ethical and transparent way.
2. My Commitment
I am committed to:
Rejecting Generative AI in all of it’s forms including photo generations for commercial, and private use.
3. How, When, and Why I use AI
Although my usage of AI is incredibly limited due to my commitment as a photographer and creative, there are some instances in which I will use AI:
During specific streamlined tasks as requested by clients, such as background removal in fashion photography (AI background removal feature in Photoshop);
When retouching elements of the photos by removing unwanted distractions (AI retoucher feature in Lightroom);
To mask subjects, backgrounds, and objects (Masking feature in Lightroom).
The features that I use help me greatly improve my time efficiency when bulk editing for client galleries, allowing me to focus my time on editing my photos with my creative style.
The features I adopt in my work are purely removal or masking features, never generative ones.
These features function to me as tools to streamline efficiency and help me with the “heavy lifting” when bulk editing, allowing me to keep my pricing competitive.
